You don’t have to be a student to appreciate the quiet setting of this gorgeous area, where you can wander through beautiful Morningside Park on the eastern border of the neighborhood or Riverside Park on the western edge. Other neighborhood landmarks include the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, a historic place of worship with an altarpiece designed by noted artist Keith Haring. Morningside Heights is only 10 minutes away from Midtown Manhattan via the 1 train, with a change to the express.
