This inviting space boasts a dining table, a cozy office nook, a comfortable futon, and bathroom 1 with a stand-up shower, as well as a washer and dryer for added convenience. The main living area features an open floor plan, with a plush couch and chairs arranged around the television – creating the perfect setting for a movie night by the beach. A fully equipped galley kitchen and a stylish bar area complete the living space. The small community of Yaupon Beach, named for the holly plant that grows here in abundance, is the first community on Oak Island you come to as you cross from the G.V. Barbee Sr Bridge and includes the area from McGlamery Street on the eastern edge to the western boundary at NE and SE 79th Streets. The Yaupon Beach area is also home to the Oak Island Pier, two oceanfront restaurants and a commercial district, making it the ideal choice for visitors who want to find themselves in the middle of the action. During the summer, the beach adjoining the pier is a prime spot for beach volleyball matches, horseshoe tournaments, and an occasional landing spot for skydivers from the Cape Fear Regional Jetport.
