Summary: This is a conference hotel that looks like it would have been at the top of its line as a conference hotel at one time. For the most part it is being kept up and things are working as they should. However, it is also apparent that, while functioning as a satisfactory hotel, the owners have stopped updating things and are now just interested in getting as much (and as many years) out of their sunken investment as possible. For example, lobby furniture (though well-appointed) looks old and worn and as though it is not being replaced. In the room, the corners have broken off what at one time would certainly have been state-of-the-art room furnishings, but as the corners are breaking off, the furnishings are not being replaced. That tells you something. Also the bathtub was bent in such a way that the water never fully drains out of it. My son and I used the pool, hot tub and waterslide. The slide is fast and all the facilities were functioning and reasonably clean but it doesn't look like there are plans to keep updating the decor etc. I hope I am wrong. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We didn't use the restaurant while there.
